Dr. Peter Inserillo was born and raised in a small town outside of Poughkeepsie, NY. He grew up playing a variety of different sports including hockey, baseball, and golf, however, he particularly excelled in soccer. He moved to Hartford, CT in 2011 to play soccer at the University of Hartford and pursue his dream of becoming a Physical Therapist. In 2014 he began personal training at a local gym and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2017. He worked as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at a Shoreline Conference High School as well as training a wide variety of individuals while completing his Doctorate at the University of Hartford. In 2021, Pete completed grad school and shortly after passed his national boards exam.
Dr. Miguel Santiago grew up in the Western MA but spent a majority of his childhood in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. He grew up playing varsity soccer, lacrosse, and basketball in high school but continued his basketball career at Skidmore College. Following his time at Skidmore, he began getting involved in the strength and conditioning world coaching out of Train For Life in Chicopee, MA helping members move well, be strong, and enjoy life. In 2016, he decided to go to Boston to attended the MGH Institute of Of Health Professions to earn is doctorate of physical therapy with the goal of working with athletes and highly active individuals. During his time at MGH he work various strength and conditioning facilities in and out of the Boston area.
LeighAnn, born and raised in CT, grew up as a dancer. She started as a ballerina at a very young age before switching to her true love, hip hop. She followed her passion for over a decade, after which she decided to expand her dreams of dancing into a career in the fitness industry. LeighAnn began her coaching career in January of 2014. Her career spans many types of training – large group, small group, semi private, and private training; as well as all levels and ages ranging from beginner to athlete, and young adults to retired adults.
As a part of the Relentless Performance team, LeighAnn works as a strength and conditioning coach for all ages and populations. She is also the administrative manager, taking care of some of the behind the scenes tasks such as billing, social media, and so on.
Phil was born and raised in CT. He played baseball and hockey growing up, excelling at hockey as a goalie. Phil walked on to his DII college hockey team and went on to play club hockey. His fitness journey began at age six with the introduction of martial arts. He developed a profound connection with the art of self-discipline and physical mastery. Phil specialized in Kenpo, earning his black belt at the age of 14 under Sensei Jeff Tucker. He continued to train martial arts, transitioning to MMA in 2008.
In 2012, a new chapter unfolded as Phil embraced CrossFit, adding a dynamic layer to his fitness. Moving from the ring to the fitness floor, he spent the first nine years as an athlete and competitor moving to coaching in 2021, offering guidance in various training styles for athletes of all levels.
As a member of the Relentless Performance team, Phil brings a wealth of expertise as a strength and conditioning coach, integrating scientific and data-driven methodologies from functional fitness. His approach seamlessly combines the precision of martial arts discipline with the high-intensity training principles of CrossFit. Functioning as a mentor, Phil is committed to inspiring individuals to pursue holistic health and self-improvement through evidence-based practices. Through his relentless dedication, he exemplifies the synergy between martial arts and CrossFit,employing data-driven strategies to guide others toward unlocking their maximum potential.
